Caravan Ingredients was formed in 2006 when Caravan Products and American Ingredients merged to form one operating company. The combination of the two companies allows greater strength and expertise in both baking and other functional ingredients, resulting in a stronger focus to the industries we serve. Together we have over 100 years of business experience and a proven track record in both baking and functional ingredients. We offer a full range of benefits for milling, bakery manufacturing, specialty baking, large institutional accounts, processed food and industrial applications. In addition, in January of 2007, Caravan Ingredients acquired the Specialty Bakery Ingredients Business from Archers Daniels Midland (ADM).

 

Caravan Ingredients extensive line of products for a variety of breads include versatile sours, bread emulsifiers, stabilizers, shelf life extenders, dough improvers, dough strengtheners, and variety bread mixes. All complemented by our gourmet sweet line of cake mixes and icings. This expertise is now assisting many bakers in the production of upscale artisan breads, grain bread, tortillas, stabilizers, enrichers, cremes and flavor enhanced products that are bringing new consumer excitement to baking. A large network of distributors offers ease of ordering and convenient product availability. 

 

We not only produce bakery ingredients, but also functional ingredients for processed foods and additives for polymers and other industrial industries. For processed foods, we manufacture ingredients for shortening and margarine, prepared mix, coffee whitener, snacks, cereal, dairy stabilizer, cosmetics, animal and pet feed, potato processing, confection, and other food applications. For polymers, we offer additives functioning as antistats, antifogs, lubricants, mold releases, neutralizers and foam aging modifiers in a variety of polymers.  We also offer a full line of specialty blending equipment.
